Popular Training Methods For Workplace Training

March 25, 2020

At Australian Institute of Workplace Training, we have 3 popular training methods for our students which are classroom-based training, online training and on the job training (traineeships and work placements).

Classroom-based training

Taught by our experienced and highly qualified trainers, our classroom learning is delivered over 2 to 3 days at our city campus on the ground floor, 823 Wellington Street, West Perth WA 6005. Our students are taught through interactive presentation slides, case study assessments and activities.

As a class, the students will attain large amounts of skills and knowledge at the same time. Our classroom-based learning is never boring at AIWT (Australian Institute of Workplace Training)! We provide realistic practical scenarios where it makes our students engaged through learning. Most of the courses at AIWT(Australian Institute of Workplace Training) are classroom-based from Early Childhood Education and Care, Community Services, Community Sector Management, Business, Leadership and Management, Translating, Interpreting, Work Health and Safety and, Real Estate.

Online training

Australian Institute of Workplace Training (AIWT) offers ‘flexi-learn’ where it is class contact (which can be once a month), access to virtual classroom & online resources. One of the many courses at AIWT (Australian Institute of  Workplace Training) which offers flexi-learn are Certificate IV in Education Support and Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety.

A combination of self-paced learning of learning online has become a popular choice of training and it caters to different styles of learning.

On the job training

At AIWT (Australian Institute of Workplace Training)we offer work placements and traineeships to our students. Our students who undertake workplace training can be better prepared to enter the workplace with real-world experience. Students also have opportunities to talk with industry representatives and discuss relevant contemporary workplace issues.

As for traineeships, traineeships are an excellent way to combine training with work, enabling you to have a job while you complete training towards a nationally recognised qualification. They are available to anyone of working age. You can do a traineeship if you are a school-leaver, re-entering the workforce or as an adult worker simply wishing to build on your career. You can even begin your traineeship while you’re still at school in years 11 and 12.

Traineeships can take between one to two years to complete and offer a broader range of vocational and occupational choices. A traineeship provides hands-on skills and work experience and can improve your employment prospects and range of career choices. When you finish your traineeship you will receive a nationally recognised qualification from AIWT (Australian Institute of Workplace Training).
