Early Childhood Education and Care

Help children develop essential learning skills with a nationally recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET) qualification in Early Childhood Education from AIWT. Studying a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care and Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care from AIWT will qualify you to teach children from six weeks to five years old in childcare centres.

As you progress on to the Diploma, you will acquire higher levels of responsibility and leadership in an early childhood setting. You will learn how to design and implement the curriculum in children’s learning and development, and acquire the skills you need to foster the holistic development and wellbeing of children.

As part of this qualification you will undertake ongoing work placement where you will be able to apply the skills and knowledge you have learned. You will work with children from different backgrounds and cultures and provide care and support for them in various child care situations.
